Build the materials enquiry around the system design
A CCTV infrastructure BOQ can include copper links, fiber backbone cables, patching hardware, racks, connectors and power accessories. State the exact construction and performance required by the system designer, including the installation environment and any power-related requirements.
Separate indoor runs from outdoor or exposed routes and identify where fiber termination, cabinets or external enclosures are required. Provide drawings or schedules where available so cable quantities and accessory counts can be reviewed together.
You can also enquire about surveillance HDDs and storage accessories. Include recorder model, drive capacity, quantity and compatibility requirements. Storage suitability and retention design must be checked against the actual recording system; capacity alone is not enough to establish compatibility.
